There are many cafes and restaurants in Whangaparaoa, home to nothing but exquisite and delicious food amongst vibrant atmospheres. Today we've gathered our favourite places to eat around town - so let's get into it!

Firstly, the locals’ favourite. Manly Bar & Grill is located in the Manly Village – a lively local bar with an Italian influence, offering cold beer on tap, wood fired pizza, the Coast’s best steaks and everything else in between to satisfy your cravings.

A must-try is their signature ‘From the Grill’ range with various sides to choose from – The Eye Fillet or T-Bone Steak being my personal favourites!

On the other hand, for lighter options they offer delicious fresh salads and appetizers such as calamari or risotto balls to share.

To top it all off,  you must try their Baileys flavoured Crème Brûlée served with a berry compote and an almond pistachio biscotti… just delectable.

Secondly, we have Due Amici – located in the Manly Village and is the place to go, to get that Italian fix. The restaurant provides an authentic Italian feel with delicious home-style dishes including pasta, pizza, meat, seafood, desserts and the finest wines to complement.

You have to try their classic Due Amici pizza, Linguine di mare (pictured) and if you’re daring their Fegatini di Pollo Antipasti (sautéed chicken livers on fettuccine) – divine!

Further, just outside Whangaparaoa, is the highly rated Cherry Cafe located in Gulf Harbour. They offer your classic cafe dishes for example Eggs Benedict – however, as the owners are from Vietnam, they also make the best Vietnamese Pho and salads.

My favourite dish is their Vietnamese Beef Pho, the perfect comfort food which leaves you satisfied. Another favourite is their Gourmet Burgers – great value, juicy meat, fresh veges and the perfect fries.

In addition, we have the India Village Restaurant located in the Manly Village, serving authentic and classic Indian cuisine. They are fully licensed BYOW and have a range of aromatic dishes, making it hard to choose just a few. From delicious sharing platters to the best curries in town – including the kiwi favourite, Butter Chicken of course.

They also do takeaway and delivery so you can experience the taste of India at the comfort of your home. View their takeaway menu here.

Last but not least, we have our popular Manly Takeaways for a quick and filling meal. With crispy battered fish, crunchy chips and their many value specials to choose from, you can’t go wrong with fish & chips. They also offer some incredible burger choices and interesting desserts such as deep fried moro bars!

Manly Takeaways is also nice and close to Manly Beach – so don’t give up the opportunity to enjoy your meal with a view. Check out our best beaches in the Hibiscus Coast here.
