Matakana Farmers' Market, Auckland

Every Saturday, 8:00am – 1:00pm

The farmers’ market in Matakana is a must-visit. The Matakana region is known for being a ‘foodie’s heaven’ as they specialise in boutique and home-grown delicacies. Enjoy the freshest of fruits and vegetables, freshly roasted and brewed coffee, delectable artisan baking, deli meats, excellent wine and more… This is a perfect day out and will be well worth the drive.

Tip: Make sure to bring your own bag, as they pride themselves as a Zero Waste business.

First Sunday of Every Month, 10:00am – 2:00pm

A rural and tranquil farmers’ market, Coatesville Market has everything you want. Offering delicious food at stalls, home-made New Zealand wares and arts & crafts. Browse around amongst the good music and friendly atmosphere and find yourself a little treasure to take home. 

Saturday, 8:00am – 1:30pm & Sunday, 9:00am – 1:30pm

If you enjoy anything artisan, the La Cigale French Market is for you. Inspired by the vibrant markets in France, you’ll find a range of local and international foods. From smoked Akaroa salmon, to French cheeses, quality meats, salamis and sausages, pâtés, French pastries and so much more. Of course they also offer great coffees, where you enjoy at their communal tables.

Close to our Whangaparaoa Lodge, the Silverdale Village Markets is a great place to go for locals. This market has been held every Saturday for 40 years! They offer an extensive range of arts, crafts, organic fruit and vegetables, free-range eggs, plants, jewellery and so much more. Go on and support local.

Although Puhoi Village Market is smaller than the others, this doesn’t take away from the quality or range of products offered. With the presence of live music, expect to find fresh local produce, freshly roasted coffee, breads, chutneys, sweet treats, cakes and luscious vegan and gluten-free treats. Additionally, they offer an array of crafts, jewellery, fragrant soaps and more – perfect for gifting.
