Firstly, we have Dear Deer Coffee Roasting Bar providing a unique experience for coffee lovers. Pick any origin of unroasted coffee beans or make your own blend and watch them roast the beans to your preferred level. They’ll then grind the beans and make your cup of coffee right in front of you.

Likewise, the Roasting Bar has their own selection of blends, for you to either purchase in bags to take home or to have there. A recommendation is to try their infamous Japanese Drip Coffee – perfectly rich, smooth and full-bodied. They also have a little snack cabinet full of muffins, cookies and bakery goods to complement your cup of coffee.

Open all days of the week, except Tuesdays.

The Coffee Guy is another interesting place to grab your coffee, as they are a mobile coffee franchise – operating from vans! Situated by Little Manly Beach, The Coffee Guy is open from Monday – Friday (7am – 9am). Say Hi to Sally who will be there every morning, to have a nice chat with you as she makes your coffee to perfection. View their menu here.

I highly recommend stopping by, whether you’re on the way to work or just wanting to start the day off right. Most importantly, what makes this coffee experience so special is definitely the beautiful beach sunrise to accompany your cup of coffee.

Frankie’s Gelato & Deli is your go-to one stop shop. They offer various artisan foods from New Zealand cheeses to deli meats, the best gelato, sorbet and ice cream in Whangaparaoa and Zeki’s fresh woodfired bread. With so many delicious indulgences, grab a great Flight Coffee as you browse around the store.

This boutique store is located in the Manly Village and is open from 9am – 4pm every day (closes at 3:30pm on weekends). Enjoy high-quality coffee coupled with friendly and inviting customer service at this cute little gem.

Cafe Hibiscus is a very popular cafe especially upon locals in Whangaparaoa – often lining up to get their morning coffee orders in! They are known for their quick service, yet still maintaining a high standard in serving great coffees.

Additionally, their cabinet foods are to die for and they have delicious lunch items that you can’t get anywhere else on the coast. For example, their Soba Noodle Salad, Chicken Fettuccini or their scrumptious Korean Bulgogi Burger.
